A Pathway Through Conflict
30 minute webinar for those looking to improve their ability to effectively resolve conflict.
For better or worse, conflict is a daily reality. Whether we face it as an active participant, bystander, or informal mediator, having the ability to effectively handle conflict can improve our interpersonal skills, strengthen relationships, and lead to personal and professional growth and success.
“A Pathway Through Conflict” was created to offer participants a practical framework for approaching and navigating conflict. During the webinar, attendees develop effective tools and strategies that can be applied in both their personal and professional lives. The skills that will be emphasized are easy to learn and highly effective when put into practice.

The Pathway.
Step 1: Avoid Common Pitfalls.
Two of the most common obstacles that trip us up in the preliminary stages of conflict are ones under our control: managing our emotion, and losing sight of our goals. Stage 1 is all about building an awareness of how our bodies respond to conflict, and preparing some simple questions to ask yourself to gain perspective. By managing emotions, and setting clear preliminary goals, we can shape how the rest of the conflict unfolds, and maintain some level of control over the process.
Step 2: Have Better Conversations.
Communication is the cornerstone to conflict resolution. In the second section we focus on how self-reflection can help us identify what we really want, and develop effective communication techniques to convey our interests. We also begin exploring the art of asking good questions, and effective listening to uncover the other party’s needs.
Step 3: Create Resolutions.
The final stage is all about working towards tangible outcomes. You’ve put the hard work in, now its time to produce actionable items. We’ll discuss strategies for constructive brainstorming and developing an action plan to ensure the initial dispute has been addressed.
